Replacement dental equipment
We are extremely grateful that we were able to renew the dental clinic with the help of donations. Every year, 500 people are treated in the dental practice and all 850 children on campus have their teeth checked.
The dental chair was very outdated and no longer worked properly. The chair could no longer be raised or lowered, so that the patients lay far back in an uncomfortable position and the dentist had to adopt a bad posture to do the job properly. In addition, the X-ray machine needed to be replaced. This gave too much radiation, so that it was only used very limited.
We are very happy and grateful that we were able to place a new dental chair and a new X-ray machine. In addition, we were able to replace various small medical devices that were outdated and the walls were freshly painted.
Thanks to this new equipment, we can be of service to many children and adults again. It is a significant improvement in the medical dental care we provide to the neighbourhood and an important contribution to the quality of dentistry in Namugongo, Uganda.
