Sharon
This is Sharon, she is 10 years old. In her young life, she has already been through a lot. She never knew her father, who died when she was a baby. It was a difficult time. Her mother was a farmer's wife, but did not earn enough money to take care of her six children. In great desperation, she abandoned Sharon when she was just two years old. Fortunately, there was an aunt who took care of Sharon. Unfortunately, there was no money to send Sharon to school. She also had to take care of her own children. The aunt contacted an uncle of Sharon's who lives in Kampala. He is one of the teachers at our primary school. With his help, Sharon was brought to us. We would like to give Sharon a future! We are therefore looking for a sponsor parent for her, so that she can go to school!
Sharon is a sweet girl. She enjoys playing the ‘seven stones game’, an outdoor game that many children in Uganda play. Sharon has a dream, she would like to become a teacher.
