Estancia
This is Estancia, she is 9 years old. She has already experienced incredible hardship in her young life. When she was only 1 year old, her mother died of pneumonia. From then on, her father had to take care of her but was barely able to do so. He was an alcoholic and had no job. He did not care about his daughter; he does not even know her date of birth. Estancia has an older sister. She is mentally challenged and cannot talk. This only made the situation more difficult and caused Estancia's father to drink even more. Although she is still young, Estancia felt very responsible to take care of her sister and father. A nearby church fortunately looked after the family. This allowed her to go to school in the first place. At this school, there was a kind teacher who saw the unpleasant situation Estancia was in. This could not go on, this had to change! She became Estancia's guardian and asked us for help. We would like to give Estancia all the love, care and good education! She deserves it! That is why we are looking for a sponsor parent for her.
Estancia loves skipping rope and singing. She is a very agile and active girl. Her big dream is to become a nurse later on.
